Shades of Hope

£2.00

I took this image while hiking up Scarfell pike with my cousin Jhelisa. Not only did I hike in jeans... #epicfail, (see my blog Ain't No Mountain High Enough for more detail) I captured this image. I edited it because the light hitting the rock reminded me of Rembrandt's ability to play with lights in his paintings. It reminds me that we can't escape the reality of darkness in this life which causes grief but there is always the light of hope.

  • Inside - Blank

  • Design - Folded, Landscape

  • Size - 10.5 x 14.8, A6

“…begin by talking about the kind of existentialist chaos that exists in our own lives and our inability to overcome the sense of alienation and frustration we experience when we try to create bonds of intimacy and solidarity with one another. Now part of this frustration is to be understood again in relation to structures and institutions…”
